Dog lie on a swing

From Faith Vizza

I own 3 dogs all of which have very active lives, 2 of these dogs are currently enjoying the wonderful sport of Agility. I'm a pretty picky Mum when it comes to my babies and want what's best for them always. I was finding one of my girls after a long weekend of competing would be a little stiff and sore. I've got all 3 on excellent food and supplements for the active dogs they are but sometimes a little hands on care is needed. Eva has given a massage to my female dog Bailey twice now both times a few days before a Trial (competition) and I've noticed Bailey is most definitely more relaxed and not so stiff after these Trials. My other female dog Cali got her first massage just before our last trial and seemed to really enjoy it. She also did very well during and after the trial. Both dogs seem to enjoy the experience and are definitely more relaxed and move easier after they've been with Eva. Eva is very gentle and soothing, she has a great manner about her that puts the dogs at ease and makes them relax so she can really give them the treatment they need. My dogs, all 3 adore Eva and have known her for some time, I was so happy when Eva started massage therapy for dogs because I knew my dogs would really benefit from her treatment and I totally trust her with my dogs who are like my kids.

My little guy Roswell no longer does competitive agility but is still very active with the girls. He's getting older now too so it will his turn next to see Eva and get a great massage which can be so beneficial for an older or aging dog. I want to keep all my dogs in the best shape possible and this includes massage therapy.

Thanks Eva, we look forward to many more visits with you.

From Sandy R.

Having three very different Jack Russell Terriers, each with their very own set of individual personalities and needs I have found massage to be very helpful.

Firstly, having a puppy with Legg Calve Perthes disease meant major surgery to remove the head of his femur. With the two -month lack of use, it left his rear leg with very little muscle tone and an unwillingness to use it. Eva used massage as a means to work the muscle and regain function. I am happy to report, 6 months after surgery, Razz is now in agility with complete function of his rear leg….

Massage has been used with my other two dogs, for other than medical purposes. Zoe being very highly driven, and uptight, and Smudge very shy and nervous. With both ends of the spectrum to deal with, Eva was able to, with her calm, relaxed demeanor reach both of my dogs. Once Zoe settled into her massage session, she found it very relaxing, so much so that the results would last for several hours. The true meaning of mellow. Smudge being very shy and nervous would never make eye contact, even though Jack’s are noted for it. I knew Smudge was enjoying her massage when she made a very obvious point of making eye contact with Eva.

I have seen the results of massage first hand, and would recommend that it should be considered when looking for ways to improve your dog’s health- inside and out. My dogs have received the benefits of Eva’s touch….

Sincerely,
Sandy R.
